I hope that you will enjoy your time here – please bare with me, I am dyslexic and disgraphic, so writing doesn’t come easily to me!
So my name is Lj and here is a little about me.
Squdge Craft was created because I have several degenerative, life long health conditions.
Once I discovered a way to help the pain, I didn’t stop. After months of creating hand crafted bracelets and earrings, and a pile of beautiful handmade cards, a friend asked what I planned to do with all my creations – thus Squdge Craft was born. I do sell my creations through Facebook, Instagram and Ko-Fi. You can see the links here – https://linktr.ee/squdgecraft
This year I launched my memorial range and I am honored to be able to encapsulate items such as hair or fur, ashes and flowers in resin. This enables me to help people commemorate a special person, pet or event forever. Being able to help people remember these times is a privilege.
My main passion is resin, I love working with it, knowing that I can create something truly special. I make a range of items with resin – coasters, wall art, jewellery and many others. I love working with resin as it has a mind of its own and you never know what you are going to get – especially with the larger pieces!
In addition to this, I also create bespoke photo albums to record the special events in life. From baby’s first year, to milestone birthdays, weddings and many other specific occasions. Alternatively, maybe you just want to compile all your Christmas or holiday photos in one places. I love creating these albums and making them as interactive as possible – it’s definately a lot of work but so worth it!
I create beautiful and unique jewellery using a range of techniques such as braiding, beading, knot work ,wire work and resin. Unfortunately, due to how badly these conditions affect my hands, I do not do as much beading, braiding or wire work as I would like, but if I do, I’ll pop it on here too!
I also create cards. I do love making cards (when my hands allow), but they are usually a fun fold card – with added flips or pop up sections or something extra!
To answer a few questions:
- I am starting this blog to help me keep a record of my creative journey and to share my wins and fails with the world! If you can’t share it in a blog where can you?!
- This blog will predominantly be resin based I would guess, as that is my passion, but paper crafting will pop in from time to time!
- I would love to connect with other creatives out there – please come say hi!
So there you have it, a quick intro about me. I will be back on Friday with my first post where I get to share some really exciting news!
Thanks for spending time with me today, keep crafting!
